The City of Pleasanton requires any person conducting business in the city to obtain a business license. This includes any business using a Pleasanton address for advertisement, or state or federal licensing, even if the business is done off-site.

2017 license tax renewal payments were due by January 31, 2017. If you have not renewed or closed your license yet, please contact our office for further information and next steps.

Only a current business license in good standing and within the last 12 months of expiration, can renew online using the Business Lic/Acct# and PIN# printed on the renewal forms

To ensure enough time to complete the process for a new business license, it is recommended applicants allow 30 minutes for an over-the-counter review and approvals from various departments.
